Abbott Product Recall

The online store where I order Mackenzie's formula emailed me yesterday stating that Abbott Similac Powder Formula have been recalled. They asked me to check if the items I purchased from them is included in the recalled list and stop using them immediately if it is . When I checked and entered the formula's lot code, surely it is included. Abbott (the makers of SIMILAC) is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Powder Infant Formula products. Abbott is recalling these products following an internal quality review, which detected the remote possibility of the presence of a small common beetle in the product produced in one production area in a single manufacturing facility. The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has determined that while the formula containing these beetles poses no immediate health risk, there is a possibility that infants who consume formula containing the beetles or their larvae, could experience symptoms of gastrointestinal discomfort and refusal to eat as a result of small insect parts irritating the GI tract. If these symptoms persist for more than a few days, a physician should be consulted.

What a coincident because when I received the email, yesterday I have not given Mackenzie her formula yet in the morning. I normally give her early morning when she wakes up. So mom's, check if the formula you're giving your child is included at http://similac.com/recall. Anyway. I have already called Abbott's consumer hotline today and arranged a return. I will receive a fedex box in 3-5 days for return shipping and as soon as they will receive the formulas, they will send me a check but will take 3-5 weeks.
